How long will outdoor timber stuctures last?
Our outdoor timber stuctures and playsystems are made from pressure treated timbers and should easily last for 20 years. Even the fixings are galvanised to protect them from the elements and rust.
Naturally durable timber or pressure-treated softwoods are used in outdoor timber stucture construction and modern preservative treatments mean that the timber, if well maintained, should be structurally sound for around 25 years.
However, to keep it looking great over such a period of time, it will need periodic cleaning and any finishes used will need occasional refreshing.
